Same OLD Story

Jesse Orosco's second tour of duty with the Dodgers came to an end on Tuesday as the 85-year-old signed a 1-year deal with the Padres. Orosco, who was born before the invention of fire, wanted to be closer to his San Diego home (and his nurse). Orosco fans shouldn't worry, however. After a couple years of biting the Dodgers in the ass by coming in to strike out Shawn Green—and a couple years of Jeff Williams filling the lefty void in the Dodger pen—Orosco will return to the organization in 2012 at the age of 94. The Orosco Watch continues.

Sad News: Reboulet a Free Agent

Brian Jordan has officially demanded a trade, but the crushing news came earlier in the week: Jeff Reboulet has filed for free agency. Needless to say, the entire Dodgers organization—and all of Los Angeles—is stunned. As word spread, baseball fans throughout the city reacted. After being told of Reboulet's decision, Martha K. of Simi Valley had this to say: "Jeff who?" So much pain, Martha is now living in denial. Interestingly enough, Bob Daly had the same response. So, it's with a heavy heart that the Dodgers look to a future without Jeff Reboulet's moustache. A shame, just a shame. How do you replace those 10 hits? Sure wouldn't want to be in Dan Evans' shoes.
